Meet Romeo!

This gorgeous and very good boy is not your average husky. Here in the shelter, he's quiet, calm, and shy. He gets along with other dogs and seems to like all people he's met. We don't know if he's ever met cats. He came from a backyard breeding situation, and although he's never lived in a house as far as we know, he keeps a clean kennel here and we think he'll be very easy to house train.

Romeo doesn't love being harnessed, but once you wrestle him into one and get outside, he loves going for a long walk. He's learning some basic commands and is doing better every day on a leash.

Romeo hasn't gotten comfortable enough to learn what toys are here at the shelter, but he does love to chew on a bone/chew toy, and loves the frozen Kong treats we give him. He'll need someone who is ready to teach him how to be a dog, and how to play with toys and with humans.

Romeo is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all of his vaccinations, and tested negative for heartworm.
