Meet Chance! 🐾

Chance is a very sweet 2-year-old boy who is full of personality! He loves people, doggie play dates, running around like a goofball, and playing with other dogs. He’s great on a leash, listens well, does well with potty training, and even rides great in the car.

Chance has been dog and cat tested and did well with both. He loves playing with other dogs and can play pretty rough, so if he goes to a home with another dog, they’ll need to be a similar size. He previously had an issue with a smaller dog in his home during a high-stress situation, so adopters will need to understand and be mindful of his history.

Chance has shown zero aggression toward people and is friendly with people of all sizes, but we recommend a home without young children. He can be around them, but living with small children may not be the best fit.

Chance does have some things his future family will need to work on. He needs continued training on recall and should remain on leash until that improves, as he will take off if given the opportunity. He also struggles with anxiety and may need medication during his transition into a new home. He has already made great progress with his kennel behavior while on Trazodone.

Chance cannot be crated in a standard crate because he will break out. He also becomes very nippy when being bathed or handled with water and will need sedation for baths or similar grooming.

Chance is a goofy, loving boy who has a lot to offer the right family. He’d love a home that can give him structure, patience, exercise, and plenty of opportunities to play! ❤️
